Pupils help the wounded heroes

KIDGATE School held a Help for Heroes Awareness Day.

Pupils wore the colours of Help for Heroes - light blue, red and dark blue - and the School Council collected donations at the school gates at the start of school.

The day raised £324 for the national charity.

Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in 2007 help the wounded servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

The money goes towards helping them recover from their injuries and giving them a better quality of life.
