Sixth form students at Monks Dyke Tennyson College who are on the Child Care and Education Level 3 Diploma course have been tirelessly working to raise funds for two worthy children’s charities, the NSPCC and Rej’s Dream.

The students donated items such as toiletries and chocolates, and these were then used to make up a selection of ‘themed’ hampers and baskets to act as prizes for a raffle.

Raffle tickets were then sold in college and to family and friends to raise a fantastic £250, which will be divided between the two charities.

This activity was supported and assisted by course tutor, Mrs Donnelly.

She said: “Fundraising is an annual event for the students on the child care course. They have in the past donated generously to many worthwhile causes, always supporting children and their families.

“I am very proud of my thoughtful, hardworking students.”
