As part of National Road Safety Week (November 17-23), the Louth branch of Specsavers pledged to keep local school children safe by donating 300 high visibility vests to 10 primary schools including St Michael’s CE Primary School (pictured above).

Andrew Downes, store director, said: “At this time of year with the dark mornings and nights, combined with the winter weather, it can be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians and dusk is particularly hazardous when the children are walking home from school.”
