MONKS’ Dyke Technology College’s 6th form students celebrated another excellent set of A-level results today (Thursday).
High scorers include Imogen Olsen with three A grades and George Marsden with A,A,A,C.
George will be going to Newcastle University in the autumn to study Sport.
A-level results at the vollege are higher than last year with 35 per cent of students not just passing but achieving top A* to B grades.
Head of School Ros Webber-Jones said: “It’s great to see the results of the hard work of students and staff. So much rests on these results so everybody’s nervous before the day, but we’re pleased to be able to celebrate all the successes.”
Most students were able to get into the universities of their choice.
Chair of Governors Tim Mudge congratulated all the staff and students at the college: “This is an excellent set of results, and we wish the students well whatever they are going on to next year.”
