VIDEO: Tree planting for Lacey Gardens School 60th anniversary

A tree was planted to mark the 60th anniversary of Lacey Gardens Junior School in Louth.

Coun Jill Makinson-Sanders, who was herself a pupil at the school, went along to help plant the tree, alongside Headteacher Heather Sandy, teachers, pupils and actors from the play The Man Who Planted Trees, which the childen had seen at the Riverhead Theatre.

There are lots of activities coming up for the diamond anniversary, including a picnic in the park on the school field.

The school opened in 1953.
