Political graffiti was scrawled on the pavement outside Trusthorpe Village Hall today (May 7), while the building is in use as a polling station for the elections.

The anti-austerity graffiti was written in chalk and was quickly cleaned up by officials at the polling station.

As the graffiti was not offensive or insulting, it did not qualify as a public order offence. The man was warned about his conduct, but did not face arrest or charges.
