Elite dancers in Louth recently took part in a dance festival.

Lisa Meanwell’s Elite Academy of Dance, based at the Meridian Leisure Centre dance studio in Louth, took several students to participate in their

first dance festival competing against lots of different dance schools from all over Lincolnshire.

Some students competed against 21 other solo dancers in their categories and, for their first time, did fantastically well, coming away with two first places, a second and five third places.

Miss Lisa (principal at Elite) and Miss Hannah were over the moon and so proud of everyone who took part.

Lisa commented: “All of the dancers were so professional on the day and represented Elite fantastically.

“They danced their hearts out and we are very proud of all of our students. What an achievement.”

Pictured are star pupils from the festival Victoria Best and Hollie Whiley, who both secured first places.

Victoria placed top in acrobatic dance and

Hollie came first in the tap solo.

Other top medal winners included: Michelle Scott, Grace Whitworth, Ruby Dixon, Alana Marper, Katy Bates and Eran White.
