Could you help to co-ordinate the fight against messy dogs?

PEOPLE are needed to keep an eye on local areas to stop dog fouling.

East Lindsey District Council is appealing for people to become co-ordinators for the Dog Watch Scheme, which has recently been trialled in Mablethorpe.

The scheme, which has a similar approach to Neighbourhood Watch, sees co-ordinators becoming points of contact in the community for people to report incidents of dog fouling to.

The Dog Watch co-ordinator then passes this information to the council for action.

Anyone caught not clearing up after their dog will be fined £75.
