SUNDAY’S North Cotes fun day proved a huge success, with the planting of a new memorial tree and funds raised for the village hall.
Coun Tony Bridges, of East Lindsey District Council, officially planted the tree in memory of George Henry Parker whose generosity helped provide the village hall and playing field.
Also present were members of Mr Parker’s family, the Village Hall Committee, North Cotes Parish Councillors and local cadets.
The North Cotes Snooker Club were also on hand to contribute £150 towards the upkeep of the village hall.
The village hall will host the ELDC Northern Area Committee tonight, Wednesday, September 7, from 7pm. All members of the public from surrounding parishes are welcome to attend and ask questions during the forum.
