A new footbridge in Quebec Road restoring the public right of way is having the final touches added before it’s re-opened and ready for use.

The footbridge which is being installed over ‘The Cut’ in Quebec Road has been funded by East Lindsey District Council and the Lindsey Marsh Drainage Board.

The Council’s portfolio holder for finance and property, Coun John Upsall said: “The bridge forms part of a public right of way so it was important that it was reinstated as soon as possible to maintain that right of way.

“This may only be a small project in terms of cost but it is significant to those it affects.”

The work is due to be finished this Friday, August 23 in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.
