POLICE are appealing for information to help them catch burglars who stole jewellery after breaking into a Mablethorpe home.

The break-in took place sometime between the afternoon of Friday, June 1 and 6pm the following day at a property in George Street.

Thieves gained entry by forcing open a patio door and stole a number of distinctive items.

Among the property stolen was a Tiffany & Co necklace and bracelet set (silver multi-chain with heart and toggle clasp) both in green pouches.

One of the pouches had a pair of Woliver Webber, 18 carat gold, white earrings in too, which are horse shoe shaped studded hoops.

The thieves also helped themselves to rings from on top of a cabinet, one of which was a distinctive silver Pilgrim ring which was adjustable with a large rectangle beige and silver design on the front.

Of the other two rings, one was stretchy diamante and the other a silver with round diamante.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity around the time of the incident or anyone who has been offered similar jewellery.

Anyone with information is urged to contact DC Becky Manson of Louth CID on 101, quoting incident 391 of June 2, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
