Explore the Lincolnshire Wolds on WEA course

The local branch of the Workers’ Education Association are hosting a six-week course in February, offering local people the opportunity to explore the history and folklore of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

People will have the chance to discover the market towns, the Viking Way, and more of the Wolds with Pete Skipworth.

The course begins with a virtual walk across the top of the Lincolnshire Wolds, as featured on Clare Balding’s Radio 4 “Ramblings”. The course will also explore the villages, landscape and folklore on Viking Way walks. Other subjects include the fascinating history of market towns such as Louth and Horncastle, as well as farming and the best routes to walk in the Wolds.

The six-week course starts on Thursday February 6 (not including February 20), from 7.30pm until 9.00pm in the Methodist Hall in Bardney, just south of Wragby.

The price is £31.50 for the full package of six sessions.
