Mablethorpe Friday Fun Bingo Club has presented a cheque for £250 to the children’s hospice.

At each week’s event, they hold a charity raffle and save the money up to donate to their chosen charity each year.

This time round, St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice was the lucky beneficiary of the money raised.

“On behalf of St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice, I would like to say a massive thank you,” said ZaZa Warren, hospice representative for the East and West Lindsey areas of Lincolnshire, who is pictured collecting the cheque from organisers Maureen Allsop and Pat Richardson.

“Every penny really does count and this is a fantastic donation just before Christmas.

“Thank you so much to Maureen and Pat and everyone who has come along over the year and supported the raffle.

“They are such a welcoming and friendly group - thank you all.”

The bingo sessions are held every Friday evening from 7.30pm to 9pm at the OAP hall in Mablethorpe’s Waterloo Street.

It costs £1 per ticket book and is open to everyone.
