A former Louth man who died after his car collided with a tree in Sussex on Friday (January 23) ‘touched everyone’s hearts’, his family have said in a tribute.

Thomas Drewery, 21, died after his grey Ford Focus hit a tree and went into a field off the B2110.

No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.

In a statement, Mr Drewery’s family said: “Thomas lived in Horsham but hails from Louth, Lincolnshire. Two years ago he came to Sussex to follow his dream of becoming a Michelin starred chef.

“Thomas worked in The Pass restaurant at South Lodge Hotel, a job he loved. He made so many friends.

“Thomas touched everyone’s hearts and will be very much missed.”
