Kendojo Martial Arts Centre at Manby recently held their final colour belt grading of 2014 for their Taekwondo Students.
The students were put through their paces by the Black Belt grading panel of Teresa Kendall, who is 4th Dan, chief instructor and founder Kendojo BBS, Paul Marshall, 3rd Dan, founder KMAC Manby and senior instructor KBBS and Rick Parsons, 2nd Dan.
All the students performed well and there was a 100 per cent pass rate on the day and some excellent performances across the various belt levels.
During the grading Robert Marshall was also promoted from junior black belt to full 1st Dan black belt.
At the end of the belt awarding ceremony the Kendojo Martial Arts Centre Manby’s ‘Student of the Year’ was named.
The student chosen to receive the award this year is Matthew Barmby. Matthew has been consistent in his attendance and application, working hard at improving his martial art skills.
A spokesman for the club said: “Matthew has been a great help during the year, helping in both setting up prior to classes ~and helping lower grade students during the class as he works towards his Black Belt.
“He is a great asset to the club both inside and outside of the dojo.”
