LOCALS and tourists in Mablethorpe can enjoy free beach games this summer thanks to a team of Beach Rangers from the East Lindsey District Council.
The rangers will be on the beach between 11am and 4pm daily until September 4.
Traditional beach games such as volleyball, cricket and football will be on offer, as well as popular activities including sandcastle building and sand drawing as well as a here will be a special family day with the stars of Lincolnshire cricket this Saturday, July 30.
Student Tom Richardson, 19, from Louth, will be a beach ranger this summer for the second year running. He said: “Being a Beach Ranger is really good fun. I enjoy working with young people and am looking forward to teaching them sports skills. This year should be brilliant as we’ve got lots of links with sports organisations, so I’m sure there will be something for everyone to enjoy!”
