High gale force winds are causing havoc in Louth and Grimoldby this afternoon with trees falling and blocking roads.

A tree has gone down in Kenwick Road in Louth spreading debris along the main road coming into Louth and in Grimoldby on their main road, another tree has fallen and again has blocked the majority of the road.

Damage and debris is spreading all across the country due to the high winds with it expected to carry on this evening.

Motorists are advised to take care on the roads and be prepared in case of delays or resulting in being re-routed.
