On October 26 Louth Museum not only closed its doors for the winter but also bid farewell to manager Geoff Hill. Volunteers who work at the museum gathered to say goodbye to Geoff and his wife Margaret, and wish them well.
Geoff joined the team in 2005 when the museum reopened after extension and refurbishment. He has been a fountain of knowledge, calmly organising the volunteers and has ensured the smooth running of the museum for the past eight years.
Geoff and Margaret have worked tirelessly to keep the museum interesting, and Margaret is a whizz at organising the special displays which are always a great hit with the public.
Louth Museum re-opens at the beginning of April.
In a break with tradition, it will also open on December 1 during the Louth Christmas Fayre, and on November 15 and December 13 for pre-booked research in the museum Library.
