Get pampered, and raise cash for charity

INDIAN head massage, colour therapy, facials and tarot card readings will be some of the features at a fundraising pamper day.

The event is taking place at the Poacher’s Hideaway, Flintwood Farm in Belchford on Sunday, September 4, from 10am to 6pm.

Deborah Gardener, who is an exhibitions co-ordinator at Aura-Soma in Horncastle, has organised the day to raise money towards a charity trek up the Himalayas in September 2012.

She needs to raise £3,500 for cancer charity Genesis Research Trust in order to take part in the Women for Women Trek Nepal Challenge.

Deborah was inspired to do something after her aunt died of cancer around Christmas time.

On the pamper day items such as jewellery, hand-made cards and garden cuttings will be on sale and there will be a barbecue.

Visitors can pay on the door, at a cost of £2. For more details email debbieg@aura-soma.co.uk
