Good Ofsted report for Saltfleetby Primary School

THE CHILDREN, staff and pupils at Saltfleetby Church of England Primary School are delighted with their recent OFSTED report.

Inspectors visited the school and their report says ‘Saltfleetby is a good school with a welcoming ethos’.

Under the new inspection framework, OFSTED grade schools in four key categories – achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety and leadership and management.

In each of these areas the school was considered to be ‘good’.

Headteacher Adrian Sanders said: “Small classes are key to our success. All staff have a thorough knowledge of each child’s strengths and weaknesses and this enables us to set precise targets to improve learning.”

OFSTED praised the engagement that children have in their learning, ‘lessons are typified by pupils’ enthusiastic learning. Much stems from stimulating learning opportunities, both indoors and outside’, and considered the range of extra curricular activities to be ‘impressive’.

There are some vacancies for September 2012. Any interested parents should contact the school office on 01507 338282.
