Good trade for quality cattle at Louth market

THE trade for good quality cattle was strong through the prime ring at Louth Cattle Market on Thursday.​

The top price heifer per kilo and per head in the prime ring was a Limousin from T J Denby & son of Wihern weighing 528kg and selling for £1,217 to Lakings of Louth.

The top price steer per kilo was for a Limousin from R C Ellis & son of Hibaldstow weighing 488kg and selling for £1,027 to L Brown & Son of Lincoln.

The top price steer per head was for a Parthanais x from J B Coupland & son of Great Steeping weighing 720kg and selling for £1,234 to A Wright & son of Boston.

The top price young bull per kilo was for a BRBx from F Wallis & Son of Biscathorpe weighing 510kg and selling for £1,063 to A Wright & Son.
