THE villages of Grimoldby and Manby will be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee over three days in June.
On Saturday June 2 the festivities will begin in the grounds of East Lindsey District Council at Manby at 2pm with a bring and share picnic/tea party.
There will be lots of stalls, classic cars on display, taekwondo and zumba displays, face painting, fancy dress with a royal theme, a big raffle with proceeds going to village causes, entertainment by Grimoldby Primary School pupils and singers Stuart Wilson and Lee.
On Sunday June 3 there will be a jubilee memorabilia display at St Edith’s church, Grimoldby, and a 50’s museum memorabilia at St Mary’s Church, Manby, both with items on display from the reign of Queen Elizabeth.
On the Sunday evening there will be a Jubilee themed quiz at the Lancaster Inn and on Monday June 4 a treasure hunt at the inn for the whole family.
