A trio who work at The Wolds Care Centre in North Holme Road, Louth have braved the shave and between them raised around £1,600 for Macmillan Cancer Support, with more money still coming in.

Michelle Daff,36, Laura Ibbett ,23, and Danielle Shanks,25, decided to have their heads shaved for the cause as each one of them had lost a grandparent to cancer.

The three ladies gathered in front of residents at the care home, as well as their family, friends and management last week to each have their heads

shaved in turn.

Laura had the longest hair out of the three and she has donated her hair to the charity so that a wig can be made for a cancer sufferer that has lost

their hair.

After the ladies had the headshave, nurse Angret Steinbach also had her head shaved in support of the amazing achievement made by Laura, Danielle

and Michelle.

The headshave trio would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came out on the day to support them whilst they had their headshave as their support has been amazing.

They would also like to thank all those who have taken the time to sponsor the three of them.

Caroline Green-Smith of The Wolds Care Centre commented; “I am so proud of all three of these ladies for being brave enough to get in front of everyone and have their head shaved for such a worthy cause.”
