New NHS body for people in East Lincolnshire is one step closer
A new NHS body is one step closer to completion that will benefit people living on the coast.
The Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group is the second of four emerging organisations in Lincolnshire that has completed a scrutiny exercise set by the National Commissioning Board.
The CCG will take over responsibilities on April 1. Lincolnshire East CCG will have £300 million to spend on healthcare for the population it serves.
Dr Brynnen Massey, Chair for Lincolnshire East CCG said: “We are delighted to be one step closer to take on more responsibility of our own local health services.
“We want to provide more health care in the community where possible, listen to what our patients want whilst improving services.”
