New x-ray facilities at Louth County Hospital for patients
Louth County Hospital has got new X-ray facilities.
The hospital currently has one x-ray room which carries out all radiology for the hospital but work has now been completed on a second x-ray room which will increase the number of patients who can have x-ray examinations at the site.
In addition, the whole radiology department is undergoing minor refurbishment to improve the look and feel of the department for patients, staff and visitors.
Radiology Service Manager Paul Clark said: “The new equipment will allow us to improve the patient journey through the radiology department, reducing waiting times and increasing x-ray capacity.
“We will be able to provide a more efficient service to the trust and accommodate more x-ray requests from external providers such as GPs”.
