TWO public toilets in Mablethorpe will be completely revamped as part of a £500,000 district-wide overhaul.

The East Lindsey District Council-owned toilets in Seacroft Road and Central Promenade will be refurbished with state-of-the-art features in time for the tourist season.

Each will be given new sanitary fittings, low energy vandal resistant driers, mixer taps, automatic flushers as well as new decoration and signage.

The Seacroft Road facility will include a Changing Places toilet for use by people with profound and multiple learning disabilities or other serious impairments such as spinal injuries or multiple sclerosis.

The Seacroft Road toilets will re-open on Good Friday, April 6, and the Central Promenade facility will be ready in time for its usual summer opening.

People are asked to use the Dunes Gardens toilets in the meantime.
