HEALTHY cooking courses that were delivered across East Lindsey have been hailed a success.
East Lindsey District Council launched the classes with the Health and Wellbeing fund as part of its efforts to help promote healthy lifestyles and encourage residents to eat their five a day.
The community run cooking courses were held in Louth, Horncastle and Mablethorpe between January and March, giving local people the chance to develop new cookery skills alongside learning about healthy eating.
Ninety four per cent of participants felt they got everything they wanted out of the course and 87 percent agreed that healthy cooking was easier to do.
Participants also found that they had increasing awareness and knowledge following the courses as well as developing social interaction through working in teams and pairs.
The cooking courses will be held again in September. Venues are yet to be confirmed.
