AFTER a successful launch of its ‘Here for you and your children’ campaign Home-Start East Lindsey has turned to new media to help spread its message across the district.
A short video made during the campaign launch in Hubbard’s Hills has now been uploaded on You Tube and is being shared via the Home-Start East Lindsey’s newly launched Facebook page.
The video shows a series of messages from volunteers, families and supporters under bright coloured umbrellas that represent Home-Start East Lindsey’s friendly, practical help and support. The message is that their support is free and confidential, provided through home-visiting volunteers and aims to help families weather the difficulties they are facing whatever they may be.
Tracey Ruddock continued: “Spreading the word via social media channels is essentially free so for a small local charity with limited marketing resources it can be a very powerful tool to help reach families in such a rural district. So we giving a try and doing all we can to make the most of its possibilities and get our message out there...we have ‘shouted’ now we are ‘sharing’.”
Home-start East Lindsey would like to thank everyone involved in making and sharing the ‘Don’t struggle on your own’ video which can be viewed by visiting their website www.home-starteastlindsey.org.uk or their facebook page www.facebook.com/homestarteastlindsey .
