Hospitality courses for coastal businesses

Tourism businesses along the East Coast are being given the opportunity to take part in training to further equip staff with essential hospitality skills.

Designed to help businesses get ready for a busy summer season, the training, developed by SkillsReach and run by First College, ranges from kitchen skills, food safety, emergency first aid, health and safety, hospitality customer service and bar/entertainment licensing.

Options also include nationally-recognised qualifications targeted at the hospitality industry. The training will run from February 25 to March 20 and the full schedule can be found by visiting

East Lindsey District Council’s portfolio holder for economic development, Coun Craig Leyland, said: “As we look forward to the 2014 season, now is the perfect time to take advantage of this wide range of courses, to further enhance the skills of existing employees, or equip new employees with the skills they need to help your business thrive through the summer months.”
