A 51-year-old woman has been disqualified from driving after admitting driving just 500 metres from the pub to her home with excess alcohol.

Sharon Theresa Baker of Sutton Road, Huttoft admitted the offence when she appeared at Skegness Magistrates Court.

The court was told on November 14, police saw her drive her Ford Focus from a pub car park, 500 metres to her home. When seen, she admitted consuming three pints and was arrested after a positive breath test. Her reading was 47 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. In defence, Ian Benton said it was Mrs Baker’s first appearance in court and was distraught about it. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

She was fined £110, £20 victim surcharge, £85.
