Independent person needed for East Lindsey District Council

EAST Lindsey District Council is looking for a committed individual to take on a new role of ‘Independent Person’ on behalf of the council.

County, District and Parish Councillors work to an agreed Code of Conduct. When the conduct of a Councillor is challenged an Independent person will be required to help the Council’s Monitoring Officer assess any complaints that are received and give advice following any investigation.

Although the post isn’t paid, travel expenses will be payable at the Council’s adopted rate.
