Entries are now being taken for the 2016 ‘Lovely Louth’ competition.

There are classes for older gardeners, for the best displays outside local businesses, the best licensed premises, for the best kept garden, and for perennial planting which can bee seen from the road to encourage sustainability.

Entries on the official form, which is available around the town, must be sent in to the Town Clerk at the Sessions House in Eastgate by Friday July 1.

Louth In Bloom is due to be judged on the morning of Thursday July 14, and ‘Lovely Louth’ judges will be out and about in the week beginning July 4 - with winners notified the same week as the In Bloom judging.

A presentation evening will be organised in September.
