THE annual Saltfleet Gala takes place this weekend, with a number of sizzling events in store as organisers look to eclipse last year’s success.
It takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7 at Saltfleet playing field.
Saturday features live entertainment including music from the Midnight Ramblers as well as a disco, hog roast and licensed bar. Entry is £2 for an adult and £1 for a child, and the gates open at 6pm.
Sunday is free to enter, and will see a car boot sale at 9am, and the gala begins at midday with more live entertainment including displays from the Rushmoor Park falcons.
A parade with over 40 entrants will leave Sea Lane at 11.30am and make its way towards the gala.
There will also be a raffle with the top prize of a mini holiday.
During the gala on Sunday the newly opened Saltfleet Treasure Chest day nursery will be holding an open day so parents can see what owner Ann Orwin and her team have to offer.
The event is being organised by Carol Butler and Keith Warsap, and proceeds from the weekend will go towards Saltfleet Sports and Social Field.
