FOUR budding artists from Mablethorpe have marked 2012, the year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics, by creating a special artwork.

Briony Why, Dot Brown, Vivienne Kay and Nigel Bennerton, from Waverley Residential Home have created the canvas as part of their weekly art sessions at Poplar Farm, Sandilands.

The canvas features the Queen, the famous Olympic rings and the classic British scene of tea and cakes.

Participants have also been creating jubilee bunting and rosettes.
