AROUND 2,500 people packed onto Mablethorpe seafront for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations last weekend.
East Lindsey District Council, the organisers of the event, have hailed the day as a huge success.
The day featured live music and entertainment before fireworks and the lighting of the Jubilee beacon brought the event to a close.
“The celebrations were another exciting event to help boost the local economy and the day had a real community feel to it,” said Coun Adam Grist, the Portfolio Holder for Culture, Leisure and Tourism.
“We hope events like these help support businesses and give local people and visitors a great experience.”
