A Sutton on Sea man’s dream of launching an eBook despite facing the prospect of losing his sight in both eyes has now come true.
Ex-LIVES co-ordinator and first responder Keith Auvache officially launched his debut eBook ‘Finding her way Back’, surrounded by family and friends at the Louth and District Hospice on Friday (November 14).
Despite going through the pain of losing his wife and soulmate Yvonne five years ago and tackling his own health issues, the prospect of not knowing what could happen to him has enthused Keith in working tirelessly to make his eBook debut happen, with the additional help of his friend Heather Williams, also from Sutton on Sea.
She gave Keith an insight into how an eBook can be created after doing one of her own and together they are hoping to spread the news of the book as far and wide as possible, as all proceeds from the eBook sales will be donated to St Barnabas Hospice and Cancer Research.
The book offers a rare insight from a male perspective into the early days of losing a loved one and the process of grieving. It also details the account of Keith’s journey since his wife’s passing and the uncanny events that followed.
Keith said: “Getting this book published in some shape or form meant the world to me, with my health deteriorating in more ways than one, I wanted to fulfil my wife Yvonne’s wish that she never wanted to be forgotten.
“This all started from a love letter from Yvonne which read ‘please don’t let them forget me’. I have never really written anything in my life before and with only having read six books ever, I knew this was going to be a challenge, but I wasn’t going to let anything stop me, I was going to write.
“There was a journey lying ahead of me that I didn’t realise was going to happen. But now the eBook is live, I’m hoping thanks to the help of Heather and the support from my children, family and friends that we can raise as much money possible for these two fantastic charities and spread the word of this book as far as we can.”
The eBook is now available on Amazon for just £2.61, more information about the book can also be found via the official Facebook page; www.facebook.com/Findingherwaybackbook.
