Plans for the bigger and newly improved leisure and beauty complex at Kenwick Park were shown to members at an open day event last week.
With the plans getting the green light from East Lindsey District Council and building works now getting underway, this was the first opportunity for the loyal members to see first hand the artist’s impressions of how the complex will look and the plans to make the facility the best it can be.
Managing director at Kenwick Park, Stuart Flynn, told the Leader; “We’ve seen a lot of positive feedback come from our members during the open day which was a chance for them to see the plans for the first time.
“Everyone seems really excited to see the new facility get up and running and we are hoping to open in February 2016. It’s less than a year away, so we’re on countdown now.
“We’ve taken a lot of the members feedback for the new complex on board and brought these out in the plans.
“The main things were bigger changing rooms and a separate experience for the leisure members and the spa visitors, which we have done for them.”
A number of the members were very excited to see the plans and head back up to Kenwick once more.
One member who has been there for the last 16 years alongside her husband said: “I’m really impressed and I’ve seen some very good ideas.”
Another member who has been at Kenwick since the start 20 years ago added: “I think the new leisure complex will be fabulous. They’ve got some huge potential to really move with the times.
“I’ve really missed being up here, so it was great to come back and see everyone.
“We are all like a family here at Kenwick.
“It will be what the members make it and I can’t wait for it to be open.”
“It look great and will be much better, more modern,” said another leisure member who has been at Kenwick since its start.
“Also it’s great that they held an open day to show the members the plans.”
