Plans have now been submitted to re-build Kenwick Park’s leisure and beauty complex with an estimated cost of £4.5million.

The plans went in to East Lindsey District Council just before Christmas and managing director at Kenwick Park, Stuart Flynn, is hopeful that the complex will be completed by December 2015.

Stuart said: “We submitted plans for the re-build on December 16 and we are working closely with the planners to get them passed as soon as possible.

“This week we are just in the process of getting the final demolition works completed on the old site to make way for the new leisure and beauty complex.

“We have already appointed our contractors for the new site and we wanted to keep the work Lincolnshire based so we have decided to work with The Gelder Group.”

Stuart added that the new facilities will be bigger and better, but they will run along the same design that was there previously.

“The former complex would have been 20 years old on December 30 as it was opened in 1994. The new facility is looking to cost around £4.5million and will run along similar designs as before, but with some differences.

“With plans that are 20 years old, we are of course looking to update them and to make the leisure and beauty facilities bigger and better than they were before.”
