Hit the highways to support runners

EDITOR – This is a question to all: we are soon to be having the Olympic Torch run through most of our villages; is there to be any following by our local councils etc to have these stretches of roads full of people cheering the runners on?

We are not going to see this again in our lifetime, and for many years, so are we going to let something go by without any organisation?

It would be lovely to have the streets lined with children, mums, dads, nannies and grandads waving flags etc.

Would the local schools be interested in letting their children see something that will be our history in future years?

It’s supposed to be going through Mablethorpe about 9am on June 27, then on to Trusthorpe and Sutton on Sea, so come on let’s give the runners our support.
