In praise of council plan rejection
EDITOR – Re site of Brown’s garage, Newmarket, Louth.
Well done to East Lindsey District Council for rejecting the planned Sainsbury’s store, which would have undoubtedly affected the three excellent convenience stores in the area very badly.
I would like to see some well-planned and designed purpose built housing for our older residents.
These would be ideally situated close to good convenience stores, a pharmacy and doctor’s surgery and would be unlikely to add significantly to the traffic in the area.
Whilst obviously some parking areas would need to be allocated within the site, perhaps these could be shared with the surgery and the surgery entrance widened.
