The Liberal Democrats have announced their candidate for the Louth and Horncastle seat at the upcoming general election.
The party’s candidate has been named as Lisa Gabriel, an experienced parliamentary candidate who fought for the seat of Lincoln in 1997, 2001 and 2005. She also fought for the East Midlands region in the European Parliamentary Elections of 1999 and 2004.
Lisa has lived in Lincolnshire for most of her life and currently works part time as a self-employed composer, music arranger and technical music writer on a freelance basis.
In recent years she has been less active in politics and took early retirement from her teaching job in order to care for her mother until her death last year.
Lisa said: “My key interests are education, the National Health Service, and preserving the environment for future generations.
“I consider myself privileged to live in Lincolnshire and enjoys the Wolds, an area internationally recognised as outstanding for its natural beauty, but I think Lincolnshire has been held back by its poor transport infrastructure.”
