LEARNER drivers can now get a helping hand towards passing their theory test, thanks to their local library.
Lincolnshire libraries are now offering Theory Test Pro free to members. The service provides a highly-realistic online simulation of the UK’s driving theory test, for all vehicles.
It contains the entire official test question bank, hazard perception video clips and an online version of the Highway Code. All this material is licensed from the Driving Standards Agency, the people who set the tests.
The service can even be accessed from the comfort of your own home, 24-hours a day, by visiting www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/librariesonline .
Jonathan Platt, head of libraries and heritage, said: “Theory Test Pro is just one of many online resources offered by Lincolnshire libraries. Members can access a wide range of reference books, such as the Oxford English Dictionary, the Encyclopaedia Britannica and Who’s Who – all free of charge. Add to that other online services like e-Books and e-Audio books and you can enjoy many of the benefits of an excellent local library service around the clock.”
Users do not even need their library card to access the service from library or other county council-run computers, but will be prompted to enter their library card number if accessing the service from home.
