Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marshes Project photo competition

Whilst you’re walking off those Christmas treats, why not take your camera along and capture some winter scenes in the grazing marshes and send in your best shots!

The Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marshes Project is inviting amateur photographers to get snapping for a chance to win a £500 top prize and £150 for three runners-up, plus to be part of an exhibition in 2013.

The competition hopes to capture ‘life through a lens’ of the grazing marshes and what they mean to those who live, work and visit the area.

Whether it’s the local wildlife, wide open skies, hidden spaces or favourite places, the project is looking for your best photographs.

The overall competition theme is The Living Marshes with four sub-categories of:

Working life

The grazing marshes in all weathers

Hidden heritage

Wildlife

Prizes include: £500 cash prize for the overall winner and £150 for the three runners up.

Prizes will be awarded for the best photograph in show and the top entry from each of the remaining three categories.

The best photos will form part of an exhibition and may be used on promotional material which will include a grazing marshes calendar.

The competition will close on June 14 2013.

Competition details and rules are available at www.lincsmarshes.org.uk
