Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust nurses get Diamond Jubilee awards

TWO community nurses who work in the Louth area have been recognised for their dedication to their work.

Jo Baines and Claire Thornalley from Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust were nominated for trust Jubilee Awards.

The nominations were put forward by their general managers as part of Nurses’ Day last month and the awards were presented as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations at the trust.

Community nurse vulnerable children and young people Jo Baines was nominated for her ‘exceptional work’.

Jo provides support to a particularly vulnerable and hard-to-reach group.

The trust said: “Jo works tirelessly to gain the trust and co-operation of the young and vulnerable people she supports.”

Complex case manager Claire Thornalley was nominated for her ‘positive attitude and infectious enthusiasm’.

The trust said: “Claire delivers excellent nursing care with a personal touch that goes the extra mile. Always professional, caring and kind, she never lets people down.”

They were given their awards by chief executive Ellen Armistead at a ceremony at the trust’s headquarters in Sleaford.
