WALKS across the whole of the Lincolnshire Wolds area will be taking place this month as part of the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival.
The festival is now in its seventh year and features 80 walks taking place in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the surrounding countryside.
There are walks to suit all ages, abilities and interests, from gentle evening strolls to the more energetic long distance walking. And this year there is even the chance to try some Nordic walking.
Most of the walks are free and, for the majority, you can just turn up.
Full details are given in the festival brochure, which is available from local information points, by calling 01507 609740, or online at www.woldswalkingfestival.co.uk
The official launch of this year’s festival takes place on Saturday, May 21 at Brackenborough Hall near Louth, where there will be a range of country craft stalls, nature trails around the farm and a series of walks.
The walking festival will run until Sunday, June 5, when there will be a finale event in Partney.
