Heavy downpours and dark clouds didn’t stop over 200 people turning out to the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival Finale on Sunday (May 31).

Hosted at Flintwood Farm near Belchford by Andrew and Sue Tuxworth, with the support by the Horncastle and

District Lions Club.

The day offered a great programme of inspirational walks around one of the most picturesque parts of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Nicki Jarvis, festival organiser, said: “The great thing about the Walking Festival is that so many people want to be part of it, they’re not deterred by a bit of rain.

“I’m delighted that the whole 16-day festival has attracted people from many counties.

Even some international visitors came along just to experience the Lincolnshire Wolds in the best way that they possibly could.

“We are really grateful to our supporters, our funders and most importantly all the volunteers who make the festival happen,”
