887 doctors appointments missed from Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea

Here is a statement issued by the Patient Participation Group of Marisco Medical Practice based in Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea.

Unable to get a doctor’s appointment?

Here is why.

From January to March this year, a total of 887 patients booked appointments and then did not arrive. (D.N.A).

With a national shortage of GP’s and Nurses, this a pure and simple case of abuse of an already overworked system.

Despite text messaging to confirm appointments, patients still fail to cancel their appointments when they are unable to attend.

With the upcoming summer pressure from temporary residents who are also requiring to use the practices in Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea, the group are appealing to patients to not to abuse the system.

Also they are asking them to please turn up when they should, and help the practice service its patients to the best of its ability and call up to cancel an appointment when they cannot make it instead of it leaving for someone to chase them up, and the appointment missed.
