LOUTH youngster Alex Bell came out on top in a competition held to design a brand new kit for Team GB.

The Clarks shoe shop welcomed entries from young customers with some cracking shirts being designed.

But Alex’s was deemed the best and the eight-year-old Kidgate Primary School pupil scooped a bag of Team GB goodies for his efforts.

He explained that he had been inspired by the hundreds of sporting images he’d seen online and tried to put them into his design.

Store manager Rachael Wood said the standard of entries had been very impressive, and that the staff had a tough task to pick the overall winner.
