Louth based Luxus has appointed a new operations manager.
The technical plastics recycler and compounder has appointed Alex Clarke from Woodall Spa as its new Operations Manager for the entire business.
The promotion is part of the board’s succession strategy to ‘secure the company’s long-term future’.
Alex Clarke joined Luxus from the automotive industry three and a half years ago as a Project Manager. Then in 2012 he was promoted to Business Improvement Manager and has since part-completed an MBA in Business Management with The University of Lincoln.
In his new role he will be responsible for the day to day running of the business and strategic planning to deliver the same high quality service that major corporate clients from the global automotive, waste and retail grocery sectors have come to expect.
Peter Atterby, Luxus’ Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to promote Alex to this senior position as we believe that he has the necessary skill set to enable us to not only deliver excellence for our customers, but to further our reach into new markets abroad.
“Since joining Luxus Alex has worked right across the business gaining a thorough understanding of our key operations. He was responsible earlier this year for establishing our partnership with global polymer sourcing company KPL International Ltd accelerating our growth into the Indian auto market for example. We wish him every success in his new role.”
Established in 1965 Luxus has become one of the UK’s leading independent technical plastics companies.
Its manufacturing facility occupies a covered area of 28,328 square meters.
