A 46-year-old Alford area man has appeared in court charged with causing or inciting a 14-year-old boy to engage
in a sexual act.
Steven John Young of Station Road, Willoughby, admitted the offence when he appeared at Skegness Magistrates’ Court.
Jim Wood, prosecuting, said that Young was first seen by the boy in Alford at about 5.30pm on November 26, 2012.
The following day Young approached the boy and asked him: “What are you up to?”, to which the boy replied: “Nothing much”, but when a friend came up, Young walked away.
On November 28, the boy passed Young, and Young asked him to do him a “very personal favour”, and said “Promise you won’t run off.”
Young asked him: “Are you quite shocked?”, to which the boy replied: “Not really”, and Young then asked the boy if he could perform the sexual act. He also offered the boy £20, which he refused.
Young will be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court (date to be fixed) and was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register.
He was granted conditional bail until his sentencing.
